Christian Ed Dreaming and Planning Session
The Christian Education Committee would like your help to evaluate the present program, plan for the 2009-2010 school year, and dream for the future.
There are two ways you can help:
One way is to send answers to these questions to dottiankeney@davidsucc.org.
1. What you like about Christian Education at David’s?
2. What you would like changed?
3. What is a dream that you have for Christian Education?
Second, plan to attend the Christian Education Dreaming and Planning Session Sunday, June 28 from 2:00-4:00 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall at David’s Church. This meeting is open to all adults, parents, grandparents, and students. Childcare will be provided. Please let us know if you need childcare and how many children you will be bringing.
Appreciation Reception for Emily and Byron
The Board of Christian Education will be having a reception for our Youth Ministry Directors Emily and Byron Greene after the 9:50 a.m. service on June 28.  Please stop by the Fellowship Hall to thank Emily and Byron for their years of dedicated service to our youth.
A Safe Place to Talk...
In response to the many challenges presented in the current economic realities facing many people, Rev. Newcomb is inviting those experiencing stress around issues in employment, pension/investment losses, or other impacts of the financial crisis to gather for a time of mutual support and prayer. In this safe, anonymous, and confidential environment, we can offer a fresh ear, share freely and hear words of encouragement from the Scriptures, as well as a time of prayer for one another. If there is enough interest, we will consider a regular support group, and perhaps professional in-put around human recourse issues and networking issues. But, given the hurt and concern we know many are feeling, our primary concern is to offer spiritual support and comfort in a time of uncertainty. So if you're losing sleep over being out of work, or uncertain about your future and feeling isolated in your worry, we invite you to come meet with Pastor Brian on Saturday, June 27 at 1:00 p.m. in the conference room.
